» 2016 budget: FG pegs Capital Expenditure at N3.34trn , Recurrent at N2.65trn
A whooping sum of N3.34 trillion was mapped out in 2016 budget for capital projects spread across the six geo-political zones, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udo Idoma has said. 2016 Budget provison in Trillion Naira Giving the details of the budget and its implementation plan in Abuja at a Programme tagged “2016 Budget of Change: Breakdown Presentation” , Udoma said that of the amount, N1.59 trillion was the included share of Capital Expenditure in Statutory Transfers while the sum of N1.75 trillion was excluded share of capital expenditure in Statutory Transfer. He also stated that Recurrent Expenditure( of the non debt) Expenditure was pegged at N2.65 trillion. Meanwhile, the details of the budget showed sectoral allocations as follows: *Power, Works and Housing =N456.93billion *Transportation N202.34billion *Defence N443.07billion *Interior N513.65billion *Education N403.16billion *Health N250.06billion *Agriculture and rural development N75.80billion *Youth and Sports N75.79 billion *Solid Minerals N16.73 billion *Water N53.3billion *Special Intervention Programmes N500billion The Programme is still ongoing at the Old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja
